This quilt may be used as a throw, a wall hanging or crib quilt. This original quilt design focuses on a large yellow floral square with quilted in a small 2 inch squares, bordered by four pieced triangles that turn the square into a diamond which is then bordered by four a rich royal blue triangles bringing returning the shape to a square. This square is then bordered by a thin white on white floral fabric bordered by a yellow on yellow geometric fabric. The the outer border of the quilt include pieced strips for an overall pleasing design. The quilting accents the choices of fabric and can be seen in the cream backing with a hidden pieced and appliquéd green diamond center on the back side of the quilt. This quilt coordinates well with the Happy House Pillow cover/sham in separate listing.

Each of the quits for this exhibit is inspired by current affairs and the stress the artist sees in the world. Prior to this show all York’s quilts have been made for friends and family members as a way to show her love with each stitch. Wishing to stitch the world together and because quilts are a unique functional art form that provides of warmth and comfort, York hopes you will enjoy the love and passion that has gone into creating this one of a kind piece and that it may bring you comfort.
