Inspired by Japanese stacking spice jars, this one-of-a-kind, 4-piece stacked jar is made from a creamy white high fire stoneware (ceramic). It was fired for more than 48 hours in the fifth firing of a wood kiln in upstate New York.

The outside was left unglazed so that the fire, ash and clay could work together to make the beautiful markings and colors that can only come from a wood kiln firing. The inside of each jar was glazed with a pristine blue glaze that brings contrast and a surprise to the person who opens the piece. Measures approx. 7” tall by 3 3/4” in diameter at the base.

This piece was accepted and shown in the following:
- CCAN 2021 5th Annual National Juried Competition at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, TX (Sept-Nov 2021);
- Honey, I Shrunk The Art at The Firefly Artists Gallery in Northport, NY (May 2022).
