Eastern Redbud

Eastern Redbuds are trees to adore. Their hot pink blossoms join golden forsythia as the trumpeting heralds of spring. Then they burst out in perfect hearts of big, pretty leaves all summer. In the chill of October their hearts turn to gold. Then they hunker through the winter and do it all over again. This lovely native tree is so over-the-top I gave it a happy little frame to match, complete with a bee.
