This is a hanging sculpture in which the physical form of the shale works with the visual form of the fiddlehead, deer footprint and prayer beads. These are symbols with layered meanings, which I work with in a variety of media. These relief sculptures came into being as a way to work with forms from nature and emerge from the straight edges of the canvas. This piece is designed to be light and easy to hang, and is well suited to smaller spaces individually or larger spaces as a group.
