A spider with lipstick out for a fun night with her girlfriends. Spiders are mostly scorned and are frightening to many even though most are not poisonous.
I wanted to paint a spider, so I researched images. The spiders we are accustomed to in the Northeast tend to be brown or black. But South American spiders can be marvelously colored, and that opened up my imagination.
