This small quilt may be used as a decorative throw, a wall hanging or crib quilt. The pattern uses the traditional Hugs and Kisses pattern in a symphony of blue shades with sashes of pale yellow and cornerstones of a green and blue plaid. The longer pale yellow sashes say Hugs and Kisses in blue. The backing and binding is a royal blue with baby blue medallions. The quilting is done in blue variegated cotton quilting thread and includes embroidered heart stitching as well. The backing and binding of the quilt are a royal blue medallion pattern.

Each of the quits for this exhibit is inspired by current affairs and the stress the artist sees in the world. Prior to this show all York’s quilts have been made for friends and family members as a way to show her love with each stitch. In hopes of stitching the world together and because quilts are a unique form of warmth and comfort. York hopes you will enjoy the love and passion that has gone into creating this one of a kind piece and that it may bring you comfort.
