Inspired Nest

Based on an actual nest that fell from a tree, the bird used many different kinds of natural materials to construct the perfect deep-pocketed nest to protect her eggs: leaves, twigs, grasses, and moss. Each element of this inspired sculpture is thoughtfully designed and painted using underglaze techniques, adding a touch of vibrant color to the sculpture. Finished with a clear glaze, mounted on a board and set into a float frame, the piece is recessed, creating a sophisticated display that allows the artwork to stand out. The float frame not only highlights the sculpture but also provides a protective barrier against accidental mishandling.
