Iris Bees

Iris evolved with clearly marked runways to encourage pollinators. Here is a cheerful row of vivid purple iris in a friend’s bright green summer garden in Woodstock; buzzing with arrivals and departures of honey bees. A blue dragonfly serves as air traffic control.

This wood frame is up-cycled, refinished and custom painted in layers of acrylic glazes to perfectly compliment the image.
