Small Mixed Media Art YELLOW BIRD

This is a lovely little mixed media piece. I start with a raw wood panel, seal it, paint several coats of gesso on it and sand in preparation for a layer of acrylic paint. Once painted to my liking, the antique paper is then glued on using a variety of acrylic mediums, details painted in, and the entire piece sealed, then varnish with a UV varnish. It is placed into a float frame, which is wired on the back. The papers from this piece are from the later 1800's. This can sit on a shelf, mantle, or be hung on the wall. The art is 6" x 6", and framed measurements are 7.5" x 7.5".
