On The Edge

I painted the model for "On The Edge" several years ago. She'd sat on a stool in my studio, and I'd only completed one or two sessions with her. Looking at the unfinished painting recently, I saw how she seemed just at the edge of the stool, almost slipping off. I thought to add the swimming pool, and then mountains in the distance. There's an atmospheric serenity and privacy to the moment.
