Rooftop Rhythms

Rooftop Rhythms was sketched from life on a W. 68th St. rooftop (directly upstairs from the bedroom window from which Backyards in Winter was sketched). The woman drumming, added from imagination, is enjoying the sanctuary provided her by this blacktop retreat from the busy streets below. I very much enjoyed hanging out there myself!
