These two Double Delights and the wildly ornate frame are a tribute to all the roses in my glorious California garden. I tried to transplant some of them to my new home in the Hudson Valley. Despite insulation and encouragement, they were simply too spoiled by a mild climate to make it through that first hard winter. Fortunately I’m made of tougher stuff. My Jackson Perkins hybrid teas live on in this colorful homage to the glorious but oh so fussy rose.
