I come from generations of women who considered a cup of tea served in English bone china with friends to be the high point of civilized behavior. Before the internet, before television, before electricity... tea with a dollop of honey was often their one indulgent respite from working like drones.

Of thousands of frames I’ve found and painted, these are as fancy as the teacups they left me. Now they hold the memories of women who came before us.
