Inspired by Japanese stacking spice jars, this one-of-a-kind, 3-piece stacked jar is made from a mid-fire stoneware (ceramic).
Glazed on the outside with a Japanese shino that blushes and speckles and then dusted with wood ash, it is reminiscent of the rust belt with its rust-colored undertones and deep specking — like flecks of coal and steel. Inside, each jar reveals a deep, satin black interior that is also representative of the materials of the rust belt. It measures 5 1/2” tall by 4” in diameter.
