This at once rustic and elegant box is a perfect repository for bracelets, earrings, cufflinks, or an endless array of keepsake items. Compartment dividers in the leather-lined floor can be selectively removed to accommodate specific item shapes, and solid extruded brass hinges hold the lid open at a 95-degree angle. As the photographs show, the lid is contoured with a gentle sweep in front that echoes the natural sweep of the wood's grain. The inset raised mahogany knob contains a small dark knot that accentuates the box’s overall style. The joinery is meticulously executed finger joints, and the box has a multi-coat satiny hand-rubbed finish that is both water- and alcohol-resistant.
