The middle window shows Justice. Wanting to avoid depicting the usual scales of Justice, I chose as inspiration Amos' immortal "Let justice rise up as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream." I chose to have those waters falling, rolling down among rocks in which is incised Tzedek -- Hebrew for justice. The rushing waters pool into a foam represented by a curious convention in German glass making, where the glass blowers drink a great deal of beer, knowing that beer in their breath will be trapped as bubbles in the glass. We chose "beer glass" to represent the foam. Because in the light box behind the window there is a diffuser to to hide the fluorescent light bulbs, you have to look carefully to see the bubbles.
