The Window

This artwork was created to represent blindness to climate change. "The Window" shows our world as it is now through its glass panes, but the surreal dream-world surrounding it tells a story about what our future could possibly look like. It is up to the viewer to decide which landscape is a daydream and which is a reality. Though this work has a certain harshness to its meaning, it is also meant to remind us of the beauties that still exist and can continue to if we continue to love and appreciate nature.

This piece was made with acrylic paint on canvas, and I used references from places in nature that I visit often, and a friend as my figure reference.
