I have come to love the combination of orange and purple. Purple and yellow are complimentary and the orange, a shade made by mixing yellow and red, gives the combination a little more zip than just the yellow.
The original Tiger Lilies won a spot in Fusionartps.com show, 3rd Women Artists Exhibition, Sept. 15 to Dec. 14 of 2020

Details

Tiger Lilies began with a complete pencil drawing progressing to colored pencil and then to digital. The vase is as much a part of the piece as the flowers with its ruffled bottom adding an interesting visual. The use of lights and darks allows the ruffle to have depth creating a 3D effect.
