Waterfall on Trout Creek

Trout Creek flows into the Rondout Reservoir from the north, close to the midpoint of the reservoir's length. The waterfall on Trout Creek is located on land owned and protected by the NY City DEP, with public access for passive recreation permitted. This waterfall is the tallest, and most spectacular in a series of cascades that extend downstream from here for about a quarter mile.
