Born into a family heritage of professional artistry, Mary Anna Goetz studied with her artist parents Richard and Edith Goetz and at the Cape School of Art, Provincetown, MA; the Malden Bridge School of Art, Malden Bridge, NY; and at the New York Academy of Art. Solo exhibitions have been featured at many important venues including The National Arts Club, NY, NY; the Newman Galleries, Philadelphia, PA; The Grand Central Galleries, NY, NY; the Howell Gallery, Oklahoma City, OK; and the Howell Gallery, Oklahoma City. Her work has been showcased at the Springville Museum, Springfield, UT; The Museum of the City of Brooklyn; the Philbrook Museum, Tulsa, OK and the Fred Jones Museum on the campus of Oklahoma University, Norman, OK. A 1997 show at the Hudson River Club in New York City resulted in the purchase of the entire exhibit as a permanent installation. Goetz is also represented in corporate collections of the Union Pacific, New York; Rittenhouse Hotel, Philadelphia, PA; and the PGA World Hall, Pinehurst, NC. She is also included in the permanent collections of the Oklahoma State Museum, The Woodstock Historical Society, the Woodstock Library and the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum. Goetz is the author of Painting Landscapes in Oils (North Light Publication). Awards include the National Arts Club Presidents Award, the Warren E. Bower Memorial Award, the Salmagundi Club Prize, the Sheila Getty Bloodgood Award, the Art Students League Honorable Mention and the Hope and Grace Foundation Award. She is also the 2015 ASKAR honoree, presented by the Art Society of Kingston, NY, along with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from New York Congressman Ken Gibson. Goetz is a former instructor at the Woodstock School of Art and is listed in Who's Who in American Art.
